The day i have been fighting for so hard has come ..The call from above ,my prayers answered .Lesmana ,son of Pak Agung Bali Zoo has instructed to me he has cracked Daddy and allowed us to start building right away for the Lions new habitat...The area saved for the Elephants has been allocated for the very one project i have cried ,yelled ,pleaded and shaken peoples brain cells ..THE LIONS HABITAT .As you enter the zoo on the left approx 2 acres on the hill is a cascading piece of land that houses a pair of poor old Water Buffalo...in a smelly water hole .This land is now the new home for these frisky kittens .I shall return in one month to see this project unfold and make sure its done and done properly .Peel Zoo will sponsor this project ...Next is Jackies home (Orangutan)....The property next door is still under negotiation for our moat systems ....Time will see this property become the zoo too .
A young girl from Queensland called Sofie is doing voluntary work at the zoo ,shes feeding the baby Gibbons as well seeing all projects are getting done while im here .Shes a great spy .The zoo is getting tipped upside down .

Peel Zoo ... Carol you will like this one ,we are building a new Kangaroo soft release area ,the contractors starts Wednesday ...
Our Quolls are carrying young ,baby barn owl has hit the air for its first fly ...Birds are all breeding well this year ..
We have got all new educational signs being done so we too are having a face lift .
Will keep you posted on more soon .

You are right Tony, i like the news a lot. No elephants for Bali Zoo, and the lions to have an improved habitat. In fact i liked it so much Bali Zoo features at the top of the page for the next 24 hours where i hope lots of search engines will pick it up.
More than anything i am so glad you have input into the new projects.
Well done Tony, Pak Agung, and all at Bali Zoo. rm.gif

Are the new educational signs similar to the ones you have at Peel Zoo? If so they're very informative and interesting and i spent a lot of time reading them.

Hi Sofie. ddd.gif If ever you have a spare moment we'd love to hear from you about your volunteer work in Bali.

Both Zoos are getting a face lift for the purpose of betterment of habitats and natural surrounds with very informative signs in different languages. Both zoos realise the customers are sponges for information and a personal experience. We both have personal guides on hand to take you by the hand .No extra money for photos or this experience .

Tony these posts don't sound too good however these are the observations from tourists on visiting Bali Zoo.

and

As you've spent a lot of time at the zoo very recently, you may or may not want to respond on the Bali Travel Forum to these posts.
Bali Zoo management would be interested in these travel reports i'm sure because Bali Travel Forum is an extremely popular website for tourists.

This is the reply to Bali forum.....{post my retort ) Yes it is the same zoo , i too wrote the same content as you last July,August about the zoo .I have had a great deal of activity at the zoo .Pak Agung,(owner) his son is back from Singapore ,we are both reversing the wrongs as quickly as possible .Your report is with great truth .I have done something about it as a concerned tourist ,Have you ??...With my own time and money ive got too to help them ..
The zoo was a big mess indeed .I seem to be the only one to come to the zoos side to help ...Imagine if i didnt .Both forums users were most supportive ,some not so but that is not my concern .The zoos rise from the quagmire is my main concern ,of course in this statement im mean all animals ,staff and surrounds ...
I wrote a stinging report last year ..im sure Asiadana can garnish you with this . I do thank you for your comments and will do two things ,give to the owners, as well invite you to the zoo for free to inspect .This email is written a pleasing fashion...
If anyone has a gripe or complaint re Bali Zoo please tell me so it can be fixed asap ...Bring your work belt if you would like to help at the zoo .

Ive just logged on and posted to them ..The very reason i have helped and spent more than i earn to help them right the wrong and teach staff is due to the mess the zoo was in ,as well its animals .I have to say the restaurant is the best for good meals ..Any way enough from me .
